There is “no chance” of a Russian defeat in Ukraine because of Moscow’s nuclear red line, Ambassador Denis Alipov stated this week.
The ambassador, speaking in Gurugram, defined that red line as an “existential threat,” which he said would trigger the “possibility” of nuclear use according to Russia’s doctrine.
This, he argued, is why Russia “can’t be taken over” in the conflict, which has now dragged on for almost four years.
Alipov was dismissive of Western strategy, calling European hopes for a Ukrainian victory “childish behavior” and “unprofessional.”
He also claimed that Donald Trump “understands” this reality, stating the former US president recognizes the war “is lost by Ukraine and the West,” even as allies continue to arm Kyiv.
